Born in Belfast, raised in the Scottish Highlands and living in the Spanish Pyrenees before settling in Glasgow.

I grew up taking pictures and filming my friends through outdoor sports, increasingly spending more time behind the camera. It’s been over 8 years now working as a Camera Operator, working on a wide variety of sets & locations.

One of my main strengths in the camera department is my ability to problem-solve on set. I’ve captured plenty of ultra-endurance events, overnight music livestreams, international events, theatre & mixed media content, whisky commercials, documentary work & plenty more. These have involved everything from Ronin 2’s to cranes/jibs, waterproof camera housings and car rigging.

I’ve always been drawn to how light and environment can change the feel of a story, and I try to bring that curiosity to everything I shoot.

Whilst I adore playing with all the lighting kit I can get my hands on, I’m just as comfortable working in a more “run & gun” style environment. I’m at my best when I’m out in the elements. I’ve learned to be adaptable, whether I’m working in a controlled studio or dealing with the unpredictable weather (Ah, Scotland...) of a location shoot.

I genuinely enjoy the challenge of a tough shoot and the creative problem-solving that comes with it.

Currently shooting on the Sony FX6, but happy to rent.
